Instead of beating myself up, I'm beating this instead...

Healing, healing, healing

Instead of beating myself up, I'm beating this instead...

So I totally fell off the wagon after I abandoned 75 Hard.

Started eating junk again, stopped working out regularly (I kept up with my running though), and water intake was scant. Oof.

75 Hard is awesome because I have a checklist to follow and it keeps me in check. Perfect for someone like me.

But it was not practical for my life.

I'm married. I have two small kids. I run a business. I have a home to maintain. Not excuses. My discipline is lacking, ultimately.

So trying to beat 75 Hard was very tough for me.

I'm sure many people with more inconvenient situations have done it. Kudos to them. I salute their excellence. I want to be like them too.

It's a life goal to beat 75 Hard.

But for now, I want to crush two things:

  1. The 2024 NYC Marathon
  2. Insulin Resistance (Ha! I bet you weren't expecting that one)

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years back—and PCOS is due to Insulin Resistance.

And if you have Insulin Resistance, you're at risk for getting Diabetes too. Which is something no one should have. Heck, Alzheimer's is Type 3 Diabetes. No, thank you.

After much research, I decided to focus on my health and resolve issues for now instead of finishing 75 Hard.

Here are two key things I learned about Insulin Resistance:

  1. Excessive sugar and carbs are the enemy
  2. Takes about 3-8 months to resolve

So my plan of attack is to live a healthy, manageable lifestyle that can help heal my Insulin Resistance.

The Personal Healing Plan (PHP)

  1. Diet — Strict Carnivore Diet. Meat, eggs, dairy.
  2. Exercise — 30 minutes a day
  3. Water — 10 cups or more a day
  4. Progress Picture — So I can track. Once a week is fine.
  5. Reading — Daily Bible Reading and Rosary +
  6. Business — One thing to move my business forward

It's awfully familiar to 75 Hard because, obviously, I copied it and made it my own. It covers my spiritual, physical, and financial.

And I want to do this for 8 months.

Eight months to heal my body. Eight months to rebuild my health and foundation. It starts today.
